Claire graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. She has also studied Business Studies at Massey majoring in Agriculture Business and Marketing.  Following 12 years in clinical practice, a senior role as the General Manager for Intervet New Zealand and three years as the Business Development and Marketing Manager for Agrifeeds, Claire was offered her current role as Chief Executive of Sirona Animal Health Ltd.  She is a graduate of the Hilary Leadership program (Auckland University), the Agri Women’s Development Trust (AWDT) excelerator program, the Fonterra Governance Development program and is a former Associate Director of Parininihi ki Waitotara Incorporation.  Claire has strong beliefs that farming should be carried out in an ethical and sustainable manner.
