Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science majoring in Grassland Science 1987, and after working in various agronomy roles, completed his Masters in Business Administration in 2004.
He lives in Oakura with his wife Chania and his three children who were raised in Taranaki, are now grown up and following careers of their own across New Zealand.
He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, Chairs the Taranaki Branch and sits on the IoD National Council. He is the current Independent Chairman of the Carefirst medical group, the Independent Chair of Edison Consulting Engineers, and holds Directorships at the FBT Osflo Group, Egmont Seafoods and Our Cloud IT services.
He has been country Director of a large-scale community agricultural development company in Mozambique, as well as a part owner in horticultural production and distribution companies in Africa and Europe.
He brings a range of skills including strong commercial acumen across the food and fibre value chain, business analysis, risk and strategy oversite, and leading effective governance in family and closely held companies.
He believes in building business value for shareholders through investment and growth of social, natural, intellectual, and human capital as well as strong financial returns for driving prosperity.
